28th Annual Birthday Run- Narara, NSW
Members of th Central Coast Steam Model Coop Ltd invite you to help them celebrate their 28th year at Narara. Saturday is public running 11 - 4, visitors may haul passengers if they wish, then private running until late. Sunday is private running all day from 11am. Separate 5" and 7.25" ground level tracks with dual gauge on the trestle bridge and through the station. Compressed air, 240 volts and 12 volts available in the covered steaming bay. Char and water avail. For the steamers and unleaded for the petrol locos. AALS Code of Practice applies, boiler certs. and membership must be shown. 11th Anniversary Run - Grandchester, Qld
The Grandchester Model Live Steam Club invites you to the club grounds at Ipswich Street Grandchester to celebrate the 11th Year of public running. Join in the fun of the run on 5’’ and & 7¼", there will be historical displays on the day, plenty of entertainment with good food and maybe the opportunity to take home a trophy. Trophies up for grabs include, Best Queensland Locomotive, The furthest Travelled Locomotive to attend, the best Non Steam Locomotive and the Grand champion of the Day, so come along enjoy the fun and show off your engineering achievements. QSMEE’s Annual "Track and Tent" Run - Warner, Qld
Join us for a relaxing run in the warm Brisbane August on our track site that offers 2½, 3½, 5 and 7¼". The site is open for model engineers only on Friday and Saturday. Enjoy the now traditional “reverse running" on Saturday, the 08th. Camp on site if you wish: a hot shower is available. Bottomless tea and coffee will be available all day. Some breakfasts, lunches and Saturday dinner are available at nominal charges, but must be booked by Wednesday 22nd July. AALS NSW Interclub Run - Bathurst, NSW
Bathurst Miniature Railway Society is hosting the Interclub Run at their track located at John Matthews Sporting Complex, Durham Street. Our track is dual gauge 3.5" and 5" with 240 volt and air available at the steaming bay. We also have a manually operated hydraulic lift for loading / unloading. All steam, petrol and diesel engines welcome. (Note: steam locos - current boiler certificates to our Boiler Inspector prior to steaming-up. AALS operating procedures and rules apply and remember to bring your AALS Insurance Card with you.) Accommodation is available near to the track and the Society will be providing a dinner to those wishing to stay on Saturday night at a small cost of $10 per head. Canberra Invitation Run
The members of the CSMEE extend a warm welcome to attend the annual Canberra Invitation Run which again coincides with the Floriade Festival. The 5/7.25" ground level track has moving frog points so wheel standards are not an issue. We also have a 3.5"/5" elevated track. Char and steam oil provided, current boler certificates essential; all AALS rules will apply. On Friday night a welcome BBQ, Saturday night meal and railway type accommodation will be available. 4-day Invitation Run…Penwood at Jaspers Brush
The last weekend in September will begin on Thursday, Sept 24 for those who are joining our invitation run over 4 days. You can spend one day or as many as your schedule allows. The Black 5s will be well represented once again, according to owners running them at our last invitation run, and the Queensland, Narara, Victorian and NSW regulars plan to be here. All steam and “diesel" locos are welcome. At least four or five new locos are due to run this weekend. We have plenty of room and suggest you think about a visit to the best little track in town. Good BBQ facilities and light refreshments on site including breakfast. More information in the next issue of AME.
